The Garden

It is not at rest

It lowers and expands

It spills

It melts down

It is silent

It sprouts and widdens

Enthusiast colours

It pulls from the earth

The path of the sap

The humidity of the environment

The unstable wraps

Invasive

The light’s drowsiness

The summer

The future

The vibrations of the tree trunk

The fruit explodes

The fruits clash

Swollen aspects

Rotten aspects

Amplified palette

A bigger image presents itself

A bigger image advances

Juicy gardens

An event of the landscape

2020-2021 (To Fill the Wall and The Garden)

“… here are my first impressions of Florencia. As soon as I set foot here, I was overcome by the humidity and heat of a subtropical climate. It rains constantly, non-stop. The rainfall is so heavy that the water drips down, there seems to be no end to it. As a result, the flora is dazzling, and the locals not only value it, but revere it. They are imperceptible, rarely seen. The locals are extremely friendly and hospitable, simply making sure you are at ease. There is a deep attachment to rules in them. It is well known that if a foreigner disobeys the rules of coexistence, he is immediately expelled from Florencia. I think this is how such an orderly and harmonious place can exist, which would otherwise be impossible to maintain. I don’t know exactly where they take you if you violate any precepts. There are some places on the outskirts, which look like enclosed camps, that is probably the fate of the disobedient. At any rate, I don’t want to find out. Anyway, back to my description, nature is beautiful and lush. The colours are vibrant, though not saturated. Green in all its shades floods the place. There are flowers everywhere, which look like impressionist brushstrokes. Everything is in abundance here. The fruits, for example, are huge, they would not fit in a regular kitchen. They are so big that people leave them half-eaten in the streets. Luckily there is a kind of giant bats that take care of finishing them. This country is like an old soul: bold and wise. There are no cafés, no cinemas, no theatres, and contrary to what I thought (because of my city character) I have not been able to get bored yet. There is always another place to visit or discover. Yesterday I went to the black lake. There are no words to describe this lacustrine phenomenon. The locals dive in daily because they say it has rejuvenating effects. I took a dip to try it out, I hope that when we meet you will recognise me. Anyway, I like Florencia and she offers a lot of variety. The only thing I miss here is seeing the skyline. There are so many plants, and they are so tall that I haven’t been able to find it yet. My roommates claim to have seen it once or twice. If I don’t have any luck tomorrow, I’ve decided to climb the mountain, which, seen from my window at night, offers me an eerie, yet haunting landscape. I am sure it will be an unforgettable adventure, reaching the top…”.
